Herblore is a skill that allows players to make their own potions from herbs and various secondary ingredients. Potions created with Herblore have a variety of effects. Most potions can be drunk to give players temporary skill boosts or other status effects, such as anti-fire or anti-poison. Effects of temporary skill boosts degrade at roughly 1 level per minute until they have entirely worn off.
Cleaning[edit | edit source]
Cleaning herbs is a simple task you have to perform before you can add a herb to a vial of water to create an unfinished potion.
Mixing[edit | edit source]
Potions are drinkables that give you benefits to your skills or help out in combat. They are made by mixing unfinished or mixed potions with other ingredients to create a finished product.

Useful Tips[edit | edit source]
- Skill of The Hour
- Changing every hour, the Skill of The Hour grants an experience boost of 25% ecumenically in a designated skill.
- Pool of Prosperity
- The Pool of Prosperity is an object in the game located at home. When filled, it grants an experience boost of 10% to all players for its duration.
- The Potion master
- The Potion master will decant potions for 10,000 gp. Decanting results in potions of the same kind being consolidated into 4 or 6-dose potions as much as possible depending on if you use vials or flasks. For example, the Potion master will decant six 3-dose strength potions into four 4-dose potions and one 2-dose potions. Noted potions may also be decanted; any noted / unnoted combinations of potions in your inventory will be treated independently of each other. 4-dose potions also tend to sell better to other players.
- Prestige Perks
- There are some useful Prestige Perks you may want before training Herblore. These include the following:
Perk | Cost | Effect |
---|---|---|
Pestled Up | 750 | Pestle and mortar will ground up to 27 items at once |
Potion Alchemist | 500 | Creating potions turns them to (4) doses |
Swift Brewer | 300 | Potions are made 1 tick faster |
