Fishing is a skill which involves catching fish from selected fishing spots around Arigon. Higher fishing levels enable different mechanisms of Fishing, the ability to catch a larger selection of fish and increases a player's catch rate.

Catching Fish[edit | edit source]

To fish, players must use certain types of equipment depending on what fish they want to catch.

Fishing Spots[edit | edit source]

Fishing spots at ::SZ

You can get to the fishing docks via the teleport menu, under skilling. You will be teleported directly to the Skilling Zone docks.

Fishing spots at ::DZ

Fishing spots at the Donator Zone are available in the central pond.


Training Fishing[edit | edit source]

Level 1-35[edit | edit source]

Start at level 1 by catching raw shrimp. Once you have reached level 15, they will automatically start catching raw anchovies at the same fishing spot.

Level 35-40[edit | edit source]

At level 35, raw tuna are the way to go. They are slow, but are better than Shrimp/Anchovies for these 5 levels.

Level 40-62[edit | edit source]

At level 40, lobster are one of the best ways to balance experience at this level.

Level 62-76/99[edit | edit source]

At level 62, you will want to catch monkfish. They can be a great catch all the way to 99.

Level 76-85[edit | edit source]

At level 76, shark are one of the highest healing foods in the game.

Level 85-90[edit | edit source]

At level 85, dark crabs are one of the highest healing foods in the game.

Level 90-99[edit | edit source]

At level 90, rocktail are amazing. They are not just a high healing food, but they also allow you to over heal your health.

Level 98-99[edit | edit source]

At level 98, fury shark are the highest healing food on Arigon. The only downside is that they require 98 Fishing to catch and are only fished in the Wilderness resource area.

The Wilderness Resource area requires an entrance fee of 10K GP and 2.5K GP to note items on Giles.

Useful Tips[edit | edit source]

  • Skill of The Hour
    • Changing every hour, the Skill of The Hour grants an experience boost of 25% ecumenically in a designated skill.
  • Pool of Prosperity
    • The Pool of Prosperity is an object in the game located at home. When filled, it grants an experience boost of 10% to all players for its duration.


  • Prestige Perks
    • There are some useful Prestige Perks you may want before training Fishing. These include the following:

Master Baiter 500 Prestige point Fishing no longer requires bait
Fury Fisher 100 Prestige point Unlocks ability to catch Fury Shark
