'''Smithing''' is a production skill which turns ores and bars into a variety of metal amour and weapons.  It uses ores from the mining skill at furnaces to turn them into bars, and then the bars are used on anvils to smith weapons or amour. Smithing is notably useful for making the requirements for summoning minotaur's and titans (bars and platebodies), for making bolts, dart tips and arrow tips for fletching and for piecing together certain high end items such as god sword blades.

Unique information to Arigon can include the following. A furnace and anvil is located at both the Skilling Zone and the Donator Zone. There is a hard limit of 1 coal used per bar whenever smelting. There are also Goldsmith gauntlets attainable from the voting shop to increase the experience gained by ~2.5x when smelting or superheating gold bars.

Use a bar and click onto an anvil. Below is a table showing the Smithing level required to create each sort of item. Note that arrow tips, bolts and dart tips can be created via Smithing and then later used with the Fletching skill. Everything created in Smithing is proportionate to the amount of bars used, creating an item requiring 5 bars will provide the same experience as creating 5 items that require 1 of the same type of bar but the later will take more time.

Smithing is the process of turning the smelted bars into weapons, armour, and tools. Here is a table that shows what level you can smith different weapons and armours at for each type of bar.

Furnace & Anvil Sites[edit | edit source]

Smithing site at ::SZ

Skilling Zone's Furnace and Anvil

This site provides a furnace for smelting your bars and an anvil to smith equipment. It has a convenient bank nearby if you need one. It is located directly north of the teleport location.

Smithing site at ::DZ

Furnace donator zone

The donator location is a little more compact and situated to the east of the main building. It has all the needs for smithing; A furnace, anvil, and bank.

Training[edit | edit source]

Everything created in Smithing is proportionate to the amount of bars used, creating an item requiring 5 bars will provide the same experience as creating 5 items that require 1 of the same type of bar. This being the case, things using a higher number of bars will grant xp faster do to using the bars quicker. For this, the best platebody for each bar type is the fastest route

Level 1 to 33[edit | edit source]

In this level range, you will want to work your way to bronze platebodies. When you reach 18, you will proceed to make the platebodies until level 33.

Levels Item Bars needed
1-5 1 x Bronze bar
5-9 2 x Bronze bar
9-18 3 x Bronze bar
18-33 5 x Bronze bar

Level 33 to 49[edit | edit source]

Here, you will want to make Iron platebodies until level 49

Level 88 to 99[edit | edit source]

Here, you will want to make Adamant platebodies all the way to 99

Levels Item Bars needed

Useful Tips[edit | edit source]

  • Skill of The Hour
    • Changing every hour, the Skill of The Hour grants an experience boost of 25% ecumenically in a designated skill.
  • Pool of Prosperity
    • The Pool of Prosperity is an object in the game located at home. When filled, it grants an experience boost of 10% to all players for its duration.
  • Goldsmith gauntlets
    • These gauntlets increase the experience gained by ~2.5x when smelting or superheating gold bars. They are obtained from the Voting Store for 15 .
  • Other Skills
    • You may want bars or platebodies for the Summoning skill. Minotaur and titan pouches require these materials.
    • Bolts, dart tips and arrow tips are used for Fletching skill to make ammunition for the Ranged skill.
    • There ae certain high end items that require a smithing level to piece together, such as a Godsword blade.
  • Prestige Perks
    • There are some useful Prestige Perks you may want before training Herblore. These include the following:
