Runecrafting is a skill that allows players to craft their own runes for Magic spells. In the Runecrafting skill, magical runes are crafted by binding the magical energy from runic altars into magical stones. These stones are called essence.

Essences[edit | edit source]

Pure Essences

Pure essence can be used to craft air, mind, water, earth, fire, body runes , cosmic, chaos, astral, nature, law, death, blood & soul. Obtaining Pure essence can be acquired by Mining, from monster drops and Loot chest. Zulrah is a good source of Pure Essence.

Abyss[edit | edit source]

The Abyss is a special region. The Abyss provides access to all the runic altars without the need for a talisman, with the exception of astral runes.

Essence pouches[edit | edit source]

Essence pouches are bags that can hold varying amounts of pure essence when training the skill. Essence pouches are highly prized among runecrafters because they can be used to take larger loads when runecrafting and mining pure essence.

You can use all 4 pouches can the same time so this will be a total of 30 extra pure essence per run to the altar.

Summoning Familiars[edit | edit source]

These special Beasts of Burden are the only ones capable of carrying unnoted rune or pure essence, but cannot hold any other kind of item. There are three: the Abyssal parasite, Abyssal lurker and Abyssal titan, able to hold 7, 12 and 20 essence respectively. They aid runecrafting by increasing the inventory size of the player.

Note: The summoning familiar BOB feature for the 3 familiars are currently not working.

Training Method[edit | edit source]

Runecrafting Altars can be found cross the world of Arigon. Players can train at the abyss, which allows them access to all altars in the game without the use of a talisman (with the exception of astral), or they can teleport directly to the Astral altar.

It is highly recommended to setup a preset when training Runecrafting. You can create a preset in the bank and it will be assigned a hotkey from ctrl 1-9 based on where it is in the preset page. For quickest training, set up a preset with a full inventory of runes and the three highest pouches.
