Summoning allows players to infuse charms, shards and other materials into familiars. Familiars may help you throughout the world, from your skilling adventures to your combat endeavors. You may find yourself very pleased with the help they provide. And, it is always nice to have a companion at your side.
Familiars[edit | edit source]
- Main article: Summoning familiars
Familiars are creatures that players may summon to help them with various tasks. Only one familiar can be summoned at a time, and must be dismissed before another can be summoned.
To summon a familiar, players must use the "Summon" option on a Summoning pouch. Summoning familiars costs summoning points. While a familiar is out, summoning points will slowly be drained until they hit 0. The familiar does not disappear when the points reach 0, but any active ability will be unavailable until the points are recharged. Summoning points do not automatically recharge, so they must be recharged at a summoning obelisk or by drinking restoration drinks, e.g. super restores.
Abilities[edit | edit source]
- Main article: Familiar abilities
Familiars have many different abilities, from boosting skills to aiding you in combat. All familiars have a passive and an active ability. Passive abilities are always active when summoned. Active abilities require a summoning scroll, made from a pouch of that familiar.
Type | Abilities |
---|---|
Fighter | These familiars will fight alongside a player, and have combat stats similar to NPCs. It is possible to safespot and have your familiar fight. Familiars will only fight in multi-combat areas |
Skill Boosters | These familiars can either temporarily raise your level in a given skill, or provide an 'invisible' boost that is always active. If the stat has already been bosted by a potion, the skill boost won't work. Note that invisible boosts do NOT allow players to perform an activity above the level, it simply increases the effectivness, e.g. catch fish faster. |
Beast of Burden | A beast of burden can carry items. Some familiars, e.g. the Pack-yak, also have the option to teleport carried items straight to the bank. |
Healer | These familiars can heal a players health at a given rate, For example, the Bunyip heals a player twenty health every 15 seconds. |
Training Sites[edit | edit source]
At home
You can enter the Small obelisk at home to step into a grotto, in which you may infuse your pouches and scrolls.
Pikkupstix at the shops
Right-clicking Pikkupstix in the shop area and choosing the enchant options is the best way to make pouches and scrolls
Training Summoning[edit | edit source]
Which Pouches to Make[edit | edit source]
Always make the highest level pouch you can for each charm type. We recommend to NOT use Blue Charms until level 70+ as they give most experience per pouch
Main Route[edit | edit source]
Alternate Route[edit | edit source]
This route does not require a full inventory of secondary ingredients, for levels 22+. It only requires secondary charms, e.g. Abyssal charms. This makes things cheaper and easier.
Useful Tips[edit | edit source]
- Skill of The Hour
- Changing every hour, the Skill of The Hour grants an experience boost of 25% ecumenically in a designated skill.
