Osmumten's fang

Osmumten's fang is a one-handed weapon that requires an Attack level of 82 to wield. It can be obtained by completing the Vault of Bones raid and using the loot key on the raid's respective chest. It is one of the rarest drops from Vault of Bones, only comparable to the Scythe of vitur. It is a fantastic melee stab accurate weapon, being further increased in power when upgraded to the Fang Of Chaos.

Special Effects

When using Osmumten's fang, there are two passive effects that are taken into account when hitting a target. Two accuracy rolls are made when attacking, and if either is higher than your target's defence roll then the attack hits successfully. For the damage calculation, the fang will always deal between 15% and 85% of your maximum hit. For example, if the fang's true max hit was 60, it would roll between 9 to 51 damage upon a successful hit, rather than the usual 0 to 60 damage it would normally roll.

Special Attack

Osmumten's fang has a special attack that consumes 25% of your special attack energy each attack. Whenever used, the attack provides a 50% increase to accuracy. Also, the hit's damage is calculated by the fang's true max hit when rolled. For example, if the fang's true max hit was 60, it would roll between 9 to 60 damage upon a successful hit, rather than the usual 9 to 51 damage it would normally roll.

Upgrading

Osmumten's fang can be upgraded via the upgrader, located just north of the general shops. This upgrade will create the Fang Of Chaos. It requires multiple items to upgrade:

• Chaotic longsword
• 25 Gazer shards
• 100,000,000 coins
• 20 Upgrade tokens
