Grubnok The Half-Rotten is a level 132 giant zombie boss monster in Arigon. It can be accessed via the Teleport interface by selecting Bosses and then Grubnok The Half-Rotten.

Combat Information

• Health: 6500 HP
• Primary Attack Style: Melee
• Secondary Attack Style: Ranged (throws rocks). Grubnok will announce whenever he's about to throw a rock, giving the player enough time to switch to the 'Protect from missiles' prayer to protect against the rock's damage.
• Special Attack: Grubnok occasionally stomps the ground, shaking the ground beneath the player, which will then send the player flying away from Grubnok, stunning the player and dealing a total of 450 damage.
• Mechanics: Falling rocks above the player's tile, which must be avoid by stepping away. The longer the player stays in the falling rocks, the more Grubnok will heal after the falling rocks mechanic ends.

Main Drops

• Grubnok's Longbone: A one-handed melee weapon boasting great strength and slash bonuses, particularly useful for early-game players. The weapon can be upgraded to the 'Chaotic Boneblade' via the Upgrade machine at Home.

• Boulder shield: A shield item that offers extremely high defensive bonuses in every category. Additionally it also offers a very high offensive crush bonus.

• Mawslasher: A two-handed melee weapon with the second highest slash bonus in Arigon. Besides the slash bonus, it also boasts a strength bonus of +160, making it the 4th highest strength bonus item in the game.

• Grubnok egg: The pet egg for Grubnok. Can be incubated to hatch the 'Baby Grubnok' pet.

Grubnok offers a GD (Guaranteed drop) every 85 kills, should the player go dry with drops. This GD count resets once the player receives an item from the bosses' 'very rare' droptable.

Strategies

Grubnok has very little magic defence so it is recommended to kill the boss using magic spells. Particularly the blood spells is recommended during the fight to constantly heal yourself, making the kill much easier and allowing you to survive longer. Avoid standing in the smoke tiles to prevent healing the boss.
