Barbarian Assault is a quest that entails helping out Captain Cain by defeating Penance mobs. Players will need to battle Penance monsters for ten waves before taking on the final boss, the Penance Queen herself.
Completion of this quest will unlock access to Captain Cain's shop of Fremennik equipment

Walkthrough[edit | edit source]
To start the quest you must speak to Captain Cain located at the Barbarian outpost. Quick teleport with Barbarian agility course or a games necklace (Teleport 2). He mentions that the penance have over run his dungeon and he wants you to clear them out. He will send 5 'Privates' to help. 2 Rangers and 3 Melee fighters. Private Paldo, Private Pendron, Private Paldon, Private Pierreb, and Private Pierreb.
After chatting with Captain Cain, go down the ladder and prepare for 11 waves of Penance monsters.
For each wave if needed, pray for the style that hurts you the most. Each wave can be easily dispatched with a Guthans set to save on food. The 5 Privates do help kill the Penance monsters, although they have low damage and may take a while if you let them focus the fighters.
Wave 1: 2 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
Wave 2: 3 Penance Fighters Lvl 96.
The next set of Waves introduces a Penance Ranger. They don't deal a lot of damage but they may be able to pile on fast. Target them first as they will be aggressive to you, then help the privates take out the fighters..
Wave 3: 1 Penance ranger Lvl 91. 3 Penance Fighters lvl 96.
Wave 4: 2 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 3 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
Wave 5: 3 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 3 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
The next set of waves introduces Penance healers into the mix. Same as before, focus rangers, then healers, then help finish the fighters.
Wave 6: 1 Penance Healer lvl 87, 3 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 3 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
Wave 7: 2 Penance Healer lvl 87, 3 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 3 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
Wave 8: 3 Penance Healer lvl 87, 3 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 3 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
Wave 9: 3 Penance Healer lvl 87, 3 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 4 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
Wave 10: 3 Penance Healer lvl 87, 4 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 4 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
The next wave has the Penance Queen. Simple and straight forward, focus the queen and then follow the previous target priority.
Wave 11: Penance Queen Lvl 209, 2 Penance Healer lvl 87, 2 Penance Rangers Lvl 91, 2 Penance fighters Lvl 96.
Talk to Captain Cain when you return to the Lobby. Miniquest complete.
