Sword of turmoil requires a Attack level of 60 to wield. It also has a powerful passive effect within the Wilderness when charged with revenant ether. Players can obtain it by killing Revenants in the Revenant caves. Due to the damage increase of the passive effect, the chainmace is a popular item used for PvM within the Wilderness such as Wilderness Slayer tasks and killing revenants.

- When the Sword of turmoil is charged with revenant ether, an additional 50% melee accuracy and damage boost is applied when attacking any NPC in the Wilderness, consuming 1 ether per attack whether the player hits or not.
This effect will stack with a Slayer helmet (i) or a Salve amulet(i) and their variants, but not both simultaneously. This makes the sceptre the second best magic weapon in the Wilderness
