Crystalline Hunleff

Introduction

Crystalline Hunleff is a powerful beast that uses Ranged and Maged attacks, along with some special deadly mechanics. The fight is unique in that the player must bring 2 different attack styles, due to Hunleff's ability to use protection prayers. Because of the difficult boss fight, Hunleff offers some of the best gear in the game for those that are able to slaughter the beast!

Requirements

• Unlocked 'Crystalline Warrior' in the slayer shop
  • Costs 800 Slayer Points
• Two different attack styles, with decent gear

Recommendations

• Ancient Curses unlocked
• 95 Prayer for Turmoil (if using Melee switch)
• Elite Void / Goldrift Void for easy switching between your combat styles
• Overloads / Super Combat Pots + Extreme Magic + Extreme Ranging
• Stat lowering Special Weapon (such as Dragon Warhammer or Bandos Godsword)

How To Get There

• Open the teleportation menu -> Bosses -> 2nd Page -> Crystalline Hunleff

The Fight

General Flow of the Fight

• Enter the Hunleff's arena by passing through the Barrier.
• Hunleff will always start with Range protection prayer. This is the best time to use your stat lowering weapon!
• After dealing enough damage, Hunleff will swap its protection prayer to the combat style you were just using. At this point, switch to your second combat style
• Rinse and repeat, using the combat style that Hunleff is not protecting against, avoiding it's special mechanics.
  • For example, if Hunleff is praying Melee, use Range or Magic. If Hunleff is praying Range, use Melee or Magic. Etc..
• You can either camp Soulsplit the whole fight if you're doing enough DPS, or pray based on Hunleff's auto attacks.

Mechanics

• Magic and Ranged auto attacks
  • Ranged Attack - Green Shards
  • Magic Attack - Blue Ball
• Tornados
  • Hunleff will smash the ground and tornados will spawn and follow the player. Simply run away from the tornados until they disappear.
  • As the fight progresses, more tornados will spawn at once. Starts at 1, then 2, then 3, and finally 4 tornados.
  • If you get hit by them, you will take massive damage. You will be killed if you get hit by multiple tornados.
    • The best way to avoid the tornados is to instantly run to the edge of the arena, then proceed to run around the outside, attacking Hunleff when you're at safe distance from them.
• Prayer Drop
  • Hunleff will occasionally turn your prayers off. You can see a message in the chatbox when this occurs
    • 'Your prayers have been disabled by Huntleff!'
  • Simply turn them back on. It's recommended to use Quick Prayers.

• Rare - Uncut Onyx
• Very Rare - Enhanced Crystal Weapon Seed (Bow of Faerdhinen or Blade of Saeldor)
• Very Rare - Crystal Armour Seed (Crystal Armor)
• Very Rare - Crystal of Corruption (Used to upgrade BOWFA)
