Introduction
NOTE: Night-Gazer is primarily a duo boss, It is incredibly hard to kill solo and will take quite a long time so it is advised to bring a friend.
One of the cooler bosses in Arigon in my opinion, The Night-Gazer provides a fun boss encounter with some cool mechanics without being overly difficult. Night-gazer attacks primarily with magic, consisting of its main eye firing out a glowing yellow orb at all players in the room. It also uses a ranged attack in which it squirts some of its "eye goo" at all players in the room. Night-gazer may use an attack where it jumps up in the air and spins in a circle, launching its ranged attack at all players. This has a chance of draining run energy by 30 percent. Both the magic and ranged attack target all players in the room. The Night-Gazer only has one form unlike on Runescape so its first form also has the ability to stun players making it difficult to avoid its special attacks.
Recommended Gear
Melee gear is by far the best method of fighting the Night-Gazer. High offensive Melee items and a reliable special attack weapon such as Dragon Claws, Dragon Dagger, Vestas Longsword etc. Will help you kill the "Vortex Minion" that is spawned periodically throughout the fight. The area is also Multi-way combat so bringing a steel titan is advised to speed up kills. The Night-Gazer is weak to Crush attack styles, So Elder Maul, Chaotic Maul, A Godsword, Inquisitors Mace, Any Crush weapon will be your best option
The Fight
So the Night-Gazer will consistently do damage to you regardless of what you are praying. Protecting from Magic MIGHT reduce some of the damage you take but it's not really needed as you don't take massive amounts of burst damage while fighting. Instead you take lots of small damage hits which you can easily soulsplit back. Running ontop of the grey squares directly under the Night-Gazer will cause you to take massive damage that increases the longer you stand on them so make sure you don't stand directly under the boss. While fighting, The Night-Gazer will spawn a "Vortex Minion" that will heal the Night-Gazer much like the Corporeal Beasts Dark Core. Use your special attacks on the Vortex Minion to kill it was fast as possible. Upon killing the Vortex Minion, The Night-Gazer will become stunned and take increased damage for a short period of time. The Night-Gazer has a special attack that is much like Vorkaths fireball where he will shoot out 4-5 red orbs at you that if you don't move will do 15-20 damage each in rapid succession. Simply move out of the way to avoid these and they will hit the ground around you. Continue doing this until the Night-Gazer is dead.
