A player attacking with the Staff of torment

Staff of torment requires a Magic level of 60 to wield. It also has a powerful passive effect within the Wilderness when charged with revenant ether. In addition, unlike other powered staves, the staff can also attack players outside of minigames. Players can obtain it by killing Revenants in the Revenant caves.

Effect[edit | edit source]

  • When the staff of Torment is charged with revenant ether, an additional 50% magic accuracy and damage boost is applied when attacking any NPC in the Wilderness, consuming 1 ether per attack whether the player hits or not. It is also applied to any combat spells cast when it is equipped, though it cannot autocast them when using the staff's built in spell.

This effect will stack with a Slayer helmet (i) or a Salve amulet(i) and their variants, but not both simultaneously. This makes the sceptre the second best magic weapon in the Wilderness
