How to get to the Fight Caves
Very cheap low cost gear (Feel free to upgrade)
Using the level 22 bat to block the level 180
Using the level 45 blob to block the 180

The Fight Caves are where you will find Tztok-Jad. Combat level 702, He's one of the highest combat level monsters in the game. Defeating him will grant you a large amount of tokkul and a fire cape.

Notation: Melee isn't advised unless you're in max gear. We're going to be using a lot of safespots that won't be possible if you are using Melee so Ranged is preferred.

Ranged Gear and Wave guide[edit | edit source]

Notation: I purposefully geared in very low requirement gear to show you can complete the minigame with a very budget setup.

Feel free to swap out any of the gear you see to upgrade or downgrade as you see fit, You can use D'hide top and bottoms, Amulet of glory and Rune crossbow if you'd like. I'm using Adamant arrows and MSB in this guide.

The Fight Caves on Arigon are only 15 waves long, The NPC's you will be fighting each wave are listed below along with notes on the waves

NOTE: WHILE THE 360 IS ALIVE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE PROTECTING FROM MAGIC, NO OTHER PRAYER IS NEEDED

  • Wave 1 - 360 (Mage), 180 (Melee), 45 (Melee) - Tip: Trap the 180 behind the 360 and kill the 360. You can then trap the 180 behind the 45 afterwards and soulsplit to regain lost health.
  • Wave 2 - 360, 180, 45, 22 (Melee) - Tip: Same as above, Trap the 180 behind the 360 and kill the 360
  • Wave 3 - 360, 180, 45, 22, 22 - Tip: Same as above, Trap the 180 behind the 360 and kill the 360
  • Wave 4 - 360, 180, 45, 45 - Tip: Same as above, Trap the 180 behind the 360 and kill the 360
  • Wave 5 - 360, 180, 90 (Range) - Tip: Kill the level 90 ASAP without running into melee range of the 360, When 90 is dead, trap 180 behind the 360 gain and proceed to kill the 360.
  • Wave 6 - 360, 180, 90, 22 - Tip: Same as above, Kill 90, Trap 180
  • Wave 7 - 360, 180, 90, 22, 22 - Tip: Same as above, Kill 90, Trap 180
  • Wave 8 - 360, 180, 90, 45 - Tip: Same as above, Kill 90, Trap 180
  • Wave 9 - 360, 180, 90, 45, 22 - Tip: Same as above, Kill 90, Trap 180
  • Wave 10 - 360, 180, 90, 45, 22, 22 - Tip: Same as above, Kill 90, Trap 180
  • Wave 11 - 360, 180, 90, 45, 45 - Tip: Same as above, Kill 90, Trap 180
  • Wave 12 - 360, 180, 90, 90 - Tip: Same as above, Kill both 90's, Trap 180
  • Wave 13 - 360 180, 180 - Tip: Simply trap both 180's behind the 360, Kill the 360 and clean up the remaining 180s
  • Wave 14 - 360, 360 - Tip: Easiest wave, Just protect from Magic and kill both 360's (Stay out of Melee range)
  • Wave 15 - Jad - Tip: Awesome you made it here. Jads incredibly simple. When he puts his head down, use Protect from Magic. When his front legs leave the floor, Protect from Range. As long as you watch his feet you'll be fine. I like leaving my prayer on Protect from Magic and only switching if I see his legs leave the floor. After his attack I go back to Protect from Magic and repeat. As long as you're watching his feet you'll be perfectly fine. Refer to the pictures for some of the tips visualized.

As you can see every single wave has the level 360 in it meaning we're going to be protecting from Magic the entire duration of the caves and safespotting the other NPC's behind the 360 for safety.

NOTE: As of writing this guide protection prayers on the curse spell book don't seem to work against TzTok-Jad. The guide is perfectly accurate if you would like to use the normal spell book which I would assume works still. When it is fixed I will remove this warning. April 9th.
