== Introduction to Raids 3 == Vault of Bones is the 3rd edition of Raids within Arigon, and arguably, the hardest. With a wide variety of punishing mechanics, it can take some time to truly master this Raid. This guide alone will not help you complete VoB, but will serve as a stepping stone so you know what to expect. It may take you many runs before your first completion, and even more to be consistent. Don't let your failures demotivate you from sniping a Scythe of Vitur or Tumeken's Shadow! Now for some general info about the Raid: * There is both an Easy and a Hard mode (like the other raids). You can still get loot in Easy mode, but the points you earn is significantly lower, and the chance of receiving the pet is also significantly lower. You may find that sending some Easy's first will help you understand the mechanics more, since it is less punishing, but it's not worth to grind Easy mode if you're after drops * You will need ALL 3 styles to complete the Raid. Bring your best Melee, Ranged, and Magic gear * In Hard mode, if you die and your team completes a room, you can rejoin the fight (unlike other Raids) * Death Skeletons will spawn every so often while you are in the Raid. Do not let them touch you, or you will be marked == Video Guide == <youtube>UW66s6z7c3s</youtube> == Room 1 - Samurax == <tabber> |-|Introduction= Samurax is the first boss within VoB. This skeleton warlord may seem easy, but has some punishing mechanics. Luckily, Samurax shares a Weak Point mechanic similar to OSRS' Warden where he will get knocked out, and you can deliver huge damage |-|Mechanics= Combat Style: Your choice Prayer: Camp SoulSplit - Change to Ranged on Axe Mechanic ==== You Can't Run From My Axes! ==== * Samurax will throw a volley of Axes towards the player, hitting them 4 times * It is advised to pray Ranged here ==== My Magic is Unmatched! ==== * Samurax will spawns glyphs on the ground, avoid at all costs * This delivers typeless damage, so you can't pray against it ==== Knocked Out ==== * At 35k HP, Samurax will get knocked down * At this time, the player will deal 1.5X damage. Keep attacking for max damage. Use dragon dagger or dragon claws for huge hits ==== Enraged ==== * After being knocked out, Samurax will turn enraged and become harder to kill ==== You Are the Weakest Link! ==== * Samurax will choose and player and jump into the air, and land a couple seconds later * To dodge this, simply run a few tiles away. If you get caught, you will take damage over time ==== Behold, the Vortex of the Fallen! ==== * Samurax will do a spin attack * To dodge this, simply run a few tiles away |-|Tips and Tricks= </tabber> == Room 2 - Puzzle - Bone Yard == <tabber> |-|Introduction= The puzzle room can be quite challenging to learn. You must solve a puzzle while dealing with mobs, death skeletons, special room attacks, and more. The general idea is to search the coffins to find a Machine Sequencer and many colored cogs. You can view the Machine Sequencer and match the symbols to the colors found on the Signpost, near the Machine. Once you've learned all the colors, pick up the cogs, and place them in order in the Machine |-|Mechanics= Spectralis, the yellow robed boss will use a few mechanics while you try to solve the puzzle ==== You Have No Respect for the Dead! ==== * 4-5 Lightning bolts will come down on you, dealing massive damage if they are successful * Simply keep running to avoid ==== Lava Rocks ==== * Lava rocks will randomly fall throughout the room, avoid if possible ==== The Dead Will Help with Your Destruction ==== * Spectralis will spawn some undead |-|Tips and Tricks= * Write down the color sequence in your chat box to easily remember the cogs you need </tabber> == Room 3 - Skeldrax == <tabber> |-|Introduction= Skeldrax has the ability to change his gear and protection prayers. Because of this, you will need all 3 combat styles. Skeldrax will always protect Magic and Melee when you first enter, so always enter with your Ranged gear equipped. This fight is all about the combat triangle |-|Mechanics= ==== Magic Form ==== * Combat Style: Ranged * Prayer: Magic * Skeldrax will have Magic and Melee protection prayer activated ==== Ranged Form ==== * Combat Style: Melee * Prayer: Ranged * Skeldrax will have Magic and Ranged protection prayer activated ==== Melee Form ==== * Combat Style; Magic * Prayer: Melee * Skeldrax will have Melee and Ranged protection prayer activated ==== Shadow Clone Jutsu ==== * Skeldrax will change forms, but also spawn a lot of clones of himself * When this occurs, look for the red clone very quickly. This is the clone you have to attack! It will only show for a couple seconds * If you attack the wrong clone, you take massive damage ==== Knocked Out ==== * Like Samurax, Skeldrax can also get knocked out, and you can deliver high damage blows ==== Enraged ==== * Skeldrax will enrage at some point. Same mechanics but more punishing |-|Tips and Tricks= * Sometimes the protection prayers will not be shown. You must still use the correct style to damage, or else you will take reflection damage </tabber> == Room 4 - Tower Defense == <tabber> |-|Introduction= This room is very simple, and great for point gain. Simply defend the Statue that the looters are trying to destroy. Kill the undead that are trying to kill you. No special mechanics besides watching out for the usual Death Skeleton |-|Mechanics= None really. There's Melee, Ranged, and Magic skeletons to fight while killing looters that will try to destroy the statue |-|Tips and Tricks= * Gather the mobs around the statue, then barrage </tabber> == Room 5 (Final Boss) - Shizoku == <tabber> |-|Introduction= While Shizoku has a ton of mechanics that you have to watch out for, the fight is easier if you don't panic. Most of the mechanics can be avoided if you pay attention |-|Mechanics= Shizoku has many mechanics! ==== I Will Fill the Air with Poison! ==== * Multiple Poison Clouds will be thrown onto the arena * You will take massive damage if you stand within these, unless you have Nightshade Helmet ==== Let's See You Avoid These! ==== * Rows of lightning will move across the arena, with 1 or 2 gaps of safety * You can choose to run to the gaps, or if you're confident, you can run right thru them by clicking at the correct time (Your player skips a tile when running) ==== Face the Light! ==== * Many Light Beams will come down, trying to damage you. Just avoid these ==== Face my Creation! ==== * Shizoku will rise his Spawn * Kill the spawn to deal massive damage to Shizoku. This spawn can hit 300+ with melee, so be careful * You can freeze the Spawn, then attack from a distance to mitigate its melee damage ==== Lava Rocks ==== * Lava Rocks will be thrown in the arena, just avoid if possible ==== Falling Colorful Rocks ==== * Colorful Rocks will fall from the sky, just avoid if possible ==== Flame Vortex ==== * Bombs will appear around the arena, and detonate after some time, just avoid if possible ==== Let's See You Out Run This ==== * Flames will appear on the tile you are standing on * Move at least 1 tile every couple of ticks to avoid damage |-|Tips and Tricks= * It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to get yourself a Nightshade Helmet (Upgrade of all 3 zulrah serp helmets) to mitigate any damage from the poison clouds * Some people may opt to leave the second Shizoku's spawn alive and just focus Shizoku himself. You can lower the Spawn's HP to as low as possible without killing for max DPS on Shizoku * In a party, you can lower Shizoku down to a very low health, before killing his first Spawn to farm points. Once the first Spawn dies, Shizoku will heal to full HP </tabber> == Rewards == The Vault of Bones rewards players based off their points contribution rather than other chests that roll a random reward. The maximum number of points obtainable is 125,000. {| class="wikitable sortable mw-collapsible mw-collapsed" ! !Item !Quantity !Rarity |- | |Dragon med helm |15 |Common |- | |Dragon sq shield |5 |Common |- | |Ruby dragon bolts (e) |100 |Common |- | |Gold ore |288 |Common |- | |Gold bar |103 |Common |- | |Sapphire |121 |Common |- | |Emerald |98 |Common |- | |Ruby |77 |Common |- | |Diamond |63 |Common |- | |Dragonstone |55 |Common |- | |Potato cactus |102 |Common |- | |Wine of Zamorak |107 |Common |- | |Dragon dart |128 |Common |- | |Dragon dart tip |240 |Common |- | |Fire orb |66 |Common |- | |Air orb |93 |Common |- | |Dragonstone dragon bolts (e) |92 |Uncommon |- | |Onyx dragon bolts (e) |77 |Uncommon |- | |Upgrade token |5 |Uncommon |- | |Battlestaff |99 |Uncommon |- | |Overload (4) |15 |Uncommon |- | |Raw fury shark |68 |Uncommon |- | |Magic seed |3 |Uncommon |- | |Palm tree seed |3 |Uncommon |- || |Dragon boots |1 |Uncommon |- | |Dragon platelegs |3 |Uncommon |- | |Dragon plateskirt |3 |Uncommon |- | |Onyx |3 |Rare |- | |Experience lamp (Mega) |1 |Rare |- | |Siren's Tome |1 |Super Rare |- | |Eye of the Ranger |1 |Super Rare |- | |Eye of the Warrior |1 |Super Rare |- | |Eye of the Mage |1 |Super Rare |- | |Masori mask |1 |Exotic |- | |Masori body |1 |Exotic |- | |Masori chaps |1 |Exotic |- | |Masori assembler |1 |Exotic |- | |Osmumten's Fang |1 |Exotic |- | |Elidinis' Ward |1 |Exotic |- | |Scythe of Vitur |1 |Super Exotic |- | |Tumeken's shadow |1 |Super Exotic |}
